Zapier is a no-code automation platform that connects 9,000+ apps through automated workflows called Zaps. Each Zap starts with a trigger in one app and runs actions in others, with Paths for conditional logic, Formatter for data, filters, delays and error handling, and Copilot (beta) can build Zaps from a plain-language description. Tables and Forms are included in every plan, while Zapier Agents and Chatbots are separately priced AI products.

The app directory spans CRMs such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive, sales engagement tools such as Outreach, Salesloft and Apollo.io, email marketing such as Mailchimp and Klaviyo, project management such as Asana and Trello, communication tools such as Slack, Gmail and Microsoft Teams, databases such as Airtable and Google Sheets, ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, and AI model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic. Zapier MCP connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and 230+ other AI tools to those apps through 66,000+ triggers and actions, with credentials managed by Zapier and app- and action-level permissions, and Zapier says more than 150,000 people have run agent-led actions through it. When no standard action fits, Zapier MCP can write and run code to reach an internal API. The Zapier SDK, free while in beta, lets code and coding agents run the same actions.

Pricing is published in US dollars, with a currency selector for other currencies. Free is $0 with 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps. Professional starts at $19.99 per month billed annually or $29.99 month to month, Team starts at $69 billed annually or $103.50 month to month with 25 users and SAML SSO, and Enterprise is quoted. New accounts get a 14-day Professional trial with no credit card. Zap actions, AI steps, code, Zapier MCP and the SDK all draw from one shared task pool, and each Zapier MCP tool call uses two tasks. Zapier Agents (Free at 400 activities a month, Pro at $33.33 per month billed annually) and Chatbots (Free, Pro at $13.33 and Advanced at $66.67 per month billed annually) are priced separately.

The Free plan is limited to 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps, while multi-step Zaps, premium apps, webhooks and AI fields start at Professional, and live chat support starts at the Professional 2,000-task tier. Shared workspaces, folder permissions and SAML SSO need Team, and advanced admin permissions, custom data retention and observability are Enterprise features. When a plan reaches its task limit, Zaps switch to pay-per-task billing at a higher per-task rate if that option is on, and otherwise pause until the next usage period.

Zapier suits teams that want hosted no-code automation across a large app catalog and a way to connect AI assistants to those apps. Teams that want to self-host their automation should consider n8n, teams building multi-branch scenarios with heavy data transformation in a visual editor should consider Make.com, security and IT teams should consider Tines, enterprises that need governed integration across core systems should consider Workato, and teams that want an AI teammate working in Slack, iMessage and email should consider Lindy or Adapt.

Current state Q4 2026: Zapier is rolling out Next Gen Zaps in early access, in which every Zap has an AI manager agent that detects and fixes issues and repeat AI work is turned to deterministic steps, and Zapier MCP can save a workflow as a reusable Skill or deploy it as a Zap. Zapier MCP is included in every plan. Zapier says it does not train on the data that runs through workflows on any plan, and its terms let it build de-identified Derived Data sets, including for model training, with an opt-out form and automatic opt-out on Company and Enterprise plans. Zapier holds SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 reports, states GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA compliance, and hosts its service on AWS in the United States.
