The facts

Juicebox is an AI recruiting platform built around PeopleGPT, a natural language search interface that lets recruiters describe the candidate they want in plain English instead of constructing Boolean strings. Founded as a YC S22 company by David Paffenholz and Ishan Gupta, it indexes 800M+ professional profiles drawn from 30+ data sources including public professional data, GitHub, and personal websites. The product now spans three pillars: Search (PeopleGPT), a recruiting CRM, and Juicebox Agents, which run in the background to source candidates, draft outreach, and surface profiles ready for review. Juicebox reports more than 5,000 customers, including regulated enterprises in defense and financial services, with Cursor, Notion, Anyscale, Ramp, Replit, Verkada, Quora, and Patreon named on its trust center. Integration coverage is published rather than implied. Juicebox maintains dedicated integration pages for Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Bullhorn, Workday, and Recruiterflow, alongside email integrations, a Slack app, and a Chrome extension for reviewing prospects while browsing. Exports and ATS handoff are documented in the help center. No MCP server is published, so Juicebox cannot be driven from an external AI assistant over the Model Context Protocol. Pricing is per seat and stated in USD on the pricing page. Free at $0 covers limited searches, AI email templates, and setting up a Juicebox Agent. Starter is $99 per seat per month billed yearly, or $119 monthly, and adds unlimited searches, unlimited projects, 500 contact credits and 500 export credits. Growth is $179 per seat per month billed yearly, or $199 monthly, and adds talent insights, 1,500 contact and 1,500 export credits, up to 5 seats, and 3 mailboxes per user. Business is custom-priced and adds ATS or CRM integration, network sourcing, 6 mailboxes per user, and priority support. The pricing page defaults to the yearly view, so the headline figure is the discounted rate rather than the month-to-month one. What the entry price does not buy is contact volume or integration depth. Credits meter contact and export actions, so a recruiter working a high-volume req can exhaust 500 credits well before the month ends. ATS and CRM integration, network sourcing, and SSO sit in the custom-priced Business tier, which means the teams most likely to need pipeline handoff cannot see what it costs. Per-seat pricing also scales linearly with headcount, which grows expensive against per-organization alternatives. Security posture is strong for a company this size. The trust center publishes SOC 2 Type II (attested), ISO 42001 (certified), GDPR, and CCPA badges, plus an AI bias audit for NYC Local Law 144 compliance, a penetration test report, and a Data Protection Impact Assessment on request. Twenty subprocessors are disclosed, including Anthropic as an AI model provider, AWS for hosting, and Algolia for search infrastructure. On data use, the trust center states customer data is not used for AI model training, while Juicebox models are trained on publicly available data across those 30+ sources. Buyers evaluating candidate-data provenance should read that distinction carefully. Juicebox is not the right fit for teams that need a published enterprise rate card, since Business pricing is quote-only. Teams whose priority is deep ATS workflow rather than sourcing reach should compare hireEZ ($494/mo) or Fetcher ($115/mo). Teams focused on inbound applicant management rather than outbound sourcing should evaluate Ashby ($270/mo billed annually) or Greenhouse (custom pricing), which are built around structured hiring pipelines. Current state Q3 2026: Juicebox is marketing an all-new generation of Juicebox Agents, extending the platform from search into autonomous sourcing and outreach. Pricing moved down at the entry tier while credit allowances increased. A $30M Series A led by Sequoia closed in September 2025, followed by an $80M Series B led by DST Global in March 2026 at an $850M valuation, bringing total capital raised to $116M. The G2 profile carries no published reviews.

Pros & Limitations

Editorial assessment

Pros

  • PeopleGPT natural language search removes the Boolean expertise that LinkedIn Recruiter and similar tools assume, making effective sourcing accessible to recruiters without specialist search skills.
  • Certification depth is unusual for a company this size: SOC 2 Type II, ISO 42001, GDPR and CCPA on the trust center, plus a published AI bias audit for NYC Local Law 144, which matters for regulated hiring.
  • Named ATS integrations are documented publicly for Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Bullhorn, Workday and Recruiterflow, so pipeline handoff can be verified before purchase rather than taken on trust.

Limitations

  • ATS and CRM integration, network sourcing and SSO all sit in the custom-priced Business tier, so the teams most likely to need pipeline handoff cannot see what it costs without contacting sales.
  • Per-seat pricing scales linearly with headcount at $99 to $179 per seat billed yearly, which becomes expensive against per-organization alternatives as a talent team grows.
  • Juicebox trains its own models on publicly available candidate data across 30+ sources: customer data is excluded, but organizations sensitive to candidate-data provenance should review that distinction before adopting.
