Lever is an AI-powered hiring platform pairing an applicant tracking system with a candidate relationship management system, so inbound applicants and sourced candidates sit in one pipeline. It has been part of Employ Inc. alongside Jobvite and JazzHR since 2022, and now brands itself Lever by Employ. The LeverTRM positioning emphasizes nurture campaigns, talent pools and re-engagement of past candidates, capabilities that pure-ATS tools usually need a separate sourcing platform to reach. Lever says its platform draws on collective intelligence from 26,000+ hiring teams. The core platform bundles ATS and CRM together with reporting dashboards, AI-powered screening that prioritizes candidates by match signals, unlimited AI interview transcripts and summaries, and AI-powered fraud prevention signals that flag suspicious applications. Three paid add-ons sit alongside it: Candidate Insights, which surfaces skills and assessment or reference signals on the profile, AI Screening by VONQ, an agent-based screening layer embedded in the career site, and Onboarding. Lever states that every AI feature is built with IBM watsonx.governance. Pricing is quote-only and there is a pricing page but no rates on it. Lever states that pricing is available upon request and scales with team size and hiring needs, and every plan card routes to a quote form. Nothing published distinguishes tiers by price, so cost cannot be compared against alternatives without a sales conversation. Buyers who want published rates before talking to a vendor should look at Ashby at $270/mo billed annually or Workable at $299/mo billed annually, both of which publish figures Lever does not. The Lever Partner Marketplace lists 182 partners across 26 categories, covering HRIS and payroll, assessments, background checks and I9s, calendars and scheduling, job boards and aggregators, sourcing, reference checks, resume screening, video interviews, e-signature, onboarding and tax credits. Named partners include ADP, BambooHR, Workday, Dayforce, UKG, Gusto, Justworks, Humaans, HiBob, LinkedIn, Indeed, Deel, DocuSign, Greenhouse, Checkr, Verified First, CoderPad and Spark Hire. Lever publishes no MCP server, re-verified July 2026 across its site, marketplace and developer paths. A third-party MCP ecosystem has grown around Lever's public API instead, with community servers on GitHub and several hosted scrapers, none of them first-party. Lever is not the right fit for teams that need cost visibility before engaging a vendor, since every route to a number runs through sales. It is also not the choice where autonomous AI recruiting is the deciding criterion, because Lever AI is assistive, surfacing and summarizing rather than acting, and purpose-built AI recruiting agents go further on autonomy. Very small teams are typically overserved by the platform. Buyers should also note that Lever sits inside a three-product portfolio, so roadmap attention is shared with Jobvite and JazzHR. As of Q3 2026, Lever operates as Lever by Employ.
