The facts

Metix AI, formerly OpenJobs AI, is an AI-native recruiting platform built around Mira, a multi-agent AI recruiter that runs the hiring pipeline from candidate sourcing through interview booking. Operated by OpenJobs AI Inc. and based in San Francisco, it targets hiring managers without dedicated recruiting support and small teams carrying several open roles at once. The company rebranded from OpenJobs AI to Metix AI in July 2026, alongside $5.5 million raised across two rounds. The workflow is shaped around outcomes rather than seats. A five-minute intake captures the role and what can flex. Mira then searches the market, sends outreach written to read as human, runs follow-up sequences around the clock, and screens replies for genuine interest before qualified candidates reach the hiring manager calendar. Metix publishes an illustrative funnel of 2,847 profiles screened, 312 contacted, and 48 interested replies. A human delivery lead reviews every match before it reaches the customer. The privacy policy adds that no decision with legal or significant effect is made without human involvement, so this is AI execution under human quality control rather than an unsupervised pipeline. Pricing is fully published in USD and charges for outcomes. One credit unlocks one interested, hire-ready candidate, and a credit is not spent on a candidate who is not worth meeting. Starter is $49 per month, or $44 billed yearly, for 3 hire-ready candidates and 1 active role. Growth is $89, or $80 yearly, for 12 candidates and 3 roles. Professional is $159, or $143 yearly, for 30 candidates and 6 roles. Scale is $299, or $269 yearly, for 75 candidates, 12 roles, a dedicated success lead, and custom integrations with an SLA. Yearly billing saves 10%, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial that requires no credit card. What the entry price does not buy is volume. Starter covers 3 candidates and a single role per month, so anyone hiring across several roles moves to Growth or Professional quickly. Credit consumption also varies with role difficulty and market response, which makes monthly cost harder to forecast than fixed-seat software. Volume hiring and specialized searches are arranged through a separate conversation rather than a published plan. Integration is thin outside one major exception. In July 2026 Metix announced a global strategic partnership with Deel that white-labels Deel Employer of Record and payroll infrastructure directly inside Mira, so an accepted offer flows into compliant onboarding and payroll across 130+ countries without leaving the platform. Beyond that and calendar and email connections, named native ATS integrations are not documented publicly. Metix publishes no MCP server, so it cannot be driven from an external AI assistant over the Model Context Protocol. Metix AI is not the right fit for enterprises with formal vendor security review. No SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, or HIPAA certification is published, and GDPR appears in the privacy policy as a legal basis rather than a certification. That policy also states customer data is used for training and improving AI models using aggregated and de-identified data where possible, and documents no opt-out from model training, which is unusual for the category and will matter to security-conscious buyers. Teams wanting deep ATS integration should evaluate hireEZ, and teams preferring fixed-seat pricing should compare Workable ($299/mo billed annually) or Ashby ($270/mo billed annually). Current state Q3 2026: the company rebranded to Metix AI alongside a $5.5 million raise, and announced the Deel partnership on July 24, 2026. The vendor reports that 95% of users schedule a first interview within 24 hours, a response rate 5x that of cold outreach, and 65% less manual work. ProductHunt shows a 5.0 rating from 1 review with 1.7K followers across two launches, and the G2 profile is unclaimed with no published reviews.

Pros & Limitations

Editorial assessment

Pros

  • Credit-based pricing charges only for candidates who have already replied with interest, so spend maps to interview-ready people rather than sourcing volume that never converts.
  • A human delivery lead reviews every match before it is delivered, adding a quality gate that fully unsupervised sourcing tools do not have.
  • A July 2026 Deel partnership white-labels Employer of Record and payroll inside the platform, so an accepted offer moves to compliant onboarding across 130+ countries without adding a separate vendor.

Limitations

  • The privacy policy states customer data is used to train and improve AI models and documents no opt-out from that training, which is unusual for the category and will fail security-conscious procurement.
  • No SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, or HIPAA certification is published, and GDPR appears only as a processing legal basis, so a formal enterprise vendor security review has nothing to evaluate.
  • Starter covers 3 candidates and 1 active role per month, and credit consumption varies with role difficulty and market response, so monthly cost is harder to forecast than fixed-seat software.
