The facts

Read AI is an AI meeting assistant from Read AI, Inc., founded in Seattle in 2021. Once a calendar is connected, Read joins Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet meetings and produces meeting reports with a summary, chapter summaries, action items, key questions, topics, engagement metrics and a full transcript. Its desktop apps for Windows and Mac capture meetings on other platforms, such as Webex, from computer audio, and its mobile apps cover iPhone and Android. Read also summarizes Gmail and Outlook email and Slack and Teams messages, and Ask Read searches across meetings and connected apps.

Read's Agentic Workflow Suite adds named AI agents on top of that data: Monday Briefing and End of Week send weekly summaries by email, Post-Meeting Recap shares meeting reports after each call, and Meeting Pre-Reads, Topic Readouts, Recommendations, Scheduling, Sales Funnel, Coaching, Director and Free Agent cover preparation, topic tracking, suggested actions, calendar work, CRM data and coaching. Ada is an email-based assistant: users copy ada@read.ai on a scheduling thread, and it checks the calendar, proposes times to the other participants and books the meeting once a time is confirmed.

Read AI connects to Google Calendar, Outlook and Zoom Calendar, and sends meeting reports to Salesforce, HubSpot, Notion, Jira, Confluence, Asana, Google Drive, Google Docs and Microsoft OneDrive. It creates Linear issues from action items, pushes recaps to Slack and Teams, and reaches other tools through Zapier, webhooks and a public API, while its Sales Funnel agent brings HubSpot or Salesforce data back to Read. Read AI's remote MCP server, an open beta release with OAuth sign-in, gives Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot Studio and other MCP clients 14 tools for listing, searching and sharing meetings and managing folders, and Read AI is available as a Claude connector and a ChatGPT app. Enterprise+ adds SAML and SCIM, with documented setup for Okta.

Read AI publishes four plans in USD, priced per user per month. Free costs $0, includes 5 meeting transcripts a month and needs no credit card. Pro is $15 billed annually or $19.75 billed monthly, Enterprise is $22.50 annually or $29.75 monthly, and Enterprise+ is $29.75 annually or $39.75 monthly with a minimum of 5 licenses. Every plan has self-serve signup, and annual license counts of 100+, 500+ and 1,000+ receive discounts of 10%, 15% and 20%.

Free is limited to 5 meeting transcripts a month. Premium integrations, including Notion, Salesforce, HubSpot, Jira, Confluence, Zapier and webhooks, start on Pro, which also includes 100 file upload credits a month. Audio and video playback and video highlights start on Enterprise. HIPAA compliance, SAML and SCIM, domain capture and custom data retention policies are on Enterprise+. The Monday Briefing agent needs a paid plan or the Enterprise trial and is available in English only.

Read AI suits individuals and teams that meet across Zoom, Teams and Google Meet and want meeting reports, email and message summaries, scheduled briefings and email-based scheduling in one product, starting on a free plan. Teams that need transcription in more languages than Read's 36 should consider Fireflies.ai, and revenue teams that need deal risk flags and pipeline forecasting from their calls should consider Gong.

Current state Q4 2026: Read AI's MCP server is in open beta, with meeting search and folder tools added since launch, and Read AI is listed as a Claude connector and a ChatGPT app. Read AI holds a SOC 2 Type II report and offers a Business Associate Agreement for HIPAA, and training AI models on customer data is opt-in and off by default. Meeting reports are available in 36 languages. Read AI is backed by Madrona Venture Group and Goodwater.
