Workable is an SMB and mid-market ATS with a lightweight HR module, positioned since 2026 as agentic recruiting software. The vendor's own framing is direct: the agent recruits and you manage talent. Workable Agent sources, screens and engages candidates inside the Workable ATS, with the customer setting the operating model and guidelines. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Boston after starting in Athens, Workable reports 30,000+ customers. Named customers on its own customer page include Eurobank, Xe, The Telegraph, Square Enix, Belmond, Grecotel, Konica, Aliaxis, Praktiker, Korres, Addison Lee, CPM and Zain. Workable publishes a partner directory at partners.workable.com organized by category, covering sourcing, job boards, assessments, background checks, reference checks, video interviewing, email and calendar, SSO, analytics, onboarding, payroll, referrals and performance management. Partners verified in the directory markup include BambooHR, Slack, Zapier, LinkedIn, Indeed, Checkr, Certn, Criteria, Adaface, Deel, Rippling, HiBob, Personio, SEEK and Okta. Workable publishes no total integration count. An official MCP server runs at mcp.workable.com/mcp and exposes 94 tools across 17 groups, covering accounts, jobs, candidates, offers, requisitions, members, pipeline configuration, employees, advanced search, departments, legal entities, work schedules, events, time off, time tracking, performance reviews and review cycles. Transport is streamable HTTP, stateless and JSON mode with no SSE, authentication is OAuth2, and the server supports OAuth dynamic discovery and Dynamic Client Registration, so any MCP-compatible client can connect. Workable names no specific MCP clients. All three plans are publicly priced and both billing states are published. Standard is 299 per month billed annually, which Workable lists as 3,588 per year, or 360 per month billed monthly. Premier is 599 per month and Enterprise is 719 per month, and both are available on annual billing only. Add-ons priced annually are Texting at 89, Video interviews at 109, Assessments at 59 and Performance and Engagement at 39 per month, rising to 105, 130, 70 and 50 respectively on monthly billing. Workable advertises up to 20 percent for annual billing, but the published figures work out at roughly 15 to 17 percent on the headline plan and add-ons. The currency is not stated anywhere on the pricing page, in the terms, or in third-party listings, and Workable's terms note that pricing may vary by billing country, so the currency behind these figures is recorded as unverified rather than assumed. Standard covers 1 to 20 employees, with bands running to 1,000+ and per-employee pricing above the entry band. Workable Agent is a separate credit-based add-on available on any plan. Every paid account starts with 3,000 free AI credits, and the agent then consumes 1 credit per candidate screened, 2 credits per passive candidate identified, and 10 credits each time a candidate interacts with the chat. Credit packs are sold at 0.12, 0.10 and 0.095 per credit for 5,000, 10,000 and 50,000 credits, larger bundles are quoted by sales, credits expire one year from purchase and are non-refundable, and the free trial does not include Workable Agent. A 15-day free trial covers the complete Standard feature set with no credit card required. Workable suits teams that want structured recruiting without enterprise complexity, and is a weaker fit where full HCM depth is needed. Workable HR covers employee records, time off, onboarding, time tracking, e-signatures and payroll preparation, so organizations needing succession planning, learning or workforce analytics will run Rippling (custom pricing) or Lattice ($4/mo billed annually) alongside it. Buyers who want deep structured interviewing methodology should evaluate Greenhouse or Lever. Q3 2026 state: Workable Agent is the headline release, billed on AI credits rather than seats. Security posture is SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001, both published on the security page with the ISO certificate downloadable and the SOC 2 report available on request, alongside off-list ISO/IEC 27017 and SOC 3. Workable separately markets GDPR, CCPA, EEO and OFCCP as compliance features that help customers meet their own obligations rather than as certifications it holds. Workable publishes no statement on whether customer data is used to train its AI models.
