Bardeen

Bardeen is a browser-native automation platform that runs inside your Chrome browser rather than on remote servers. That gives it a capability cloud-based automation tools do not have: it can act on any website you are already logged into, including sites that publish no API at all. The AI-powered Magic Box turns a plain-language description into a working automation, called a Playbook. Bardeen now positions primarily as a GTM lead intelligence platform: source leads with the agentic web scraper, qualify them with AI, and reach them with contact enrichment. Best fit: sales teams, revenue operations, recruiting teams, and solopreneurs running lead research, prospect enrichment and CRM sync workflows at sub-enterprise budgets. Bardeen publishes 89 integration pages covering the core GTM stack, and it connects through authenticated browser sessions rather than API keys. Named integrations include HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Sheets, LinkedIn, Notion, Slack, Airtable, Apollo and Gmail. HubSpot is the deepest relationship. HubSpot Ventures invested in Bardeen, and the two companies announced an expanded strategic partnership in September 2023. Export destinations include Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion and CSV. The vendor blog recorded 500,001,288 Playbooks run as of January 2025. There is no Bardeen API, no MCP server and no custom webhook support. The vendor's own help center states this plainly, and data moves in and out through HTTPS GET and POST actions instead. Pricing is in US dollars, stated in Bardeen's terms of service. Every account keeps 100 free credits a month permanently, and a 7-day trial adds 2,000 credits. Basic is $10 per month and is billed monthly only, with no annual option on that tier. Premium is $50 per month or $480 per year. The advertised 20% annual saving applies to Premium only. Enterprise is billed annually, is sold through Contact Sales, and publishes no rate. Credits meter the work: one credit per scraped or AI-processed row, three per enrichment row, with imports, exports and utilities free. Builder Mode testing consumes no credits at all. The vendor's own worked example, a ten-profile scrape with email validation, AI qualification and a Google Sheets export, totals 64 credits. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing period. Bardeen is not a fit where unattended around-the-clock execution has to be guaranteed, and the vendor contradicts itself on that point. Its release notes describe Always-On triggers and a cloud option that keep Autobooks running when the local machine is off. Its help center states the opposite: that Autobooks are only triggered while you are online, and that cloud execution may come in future. Confirm the current behavior with the vendor before relying on it. Credit budgeting matters more than seat count here. Exceeding the allowance pauses every automation until the next billing cycle rather than charging overage, so the only immediate remedy is a plan upgrade. Backend integrations needing API-to-API connections are not addressable, and Firefox, Safari and Edge users cannot use Bardeen at all. Teams wanting a dedicated per-seat enrichment platform rather than a credit meter should look at Apollo.io ($49/mo billed annually). Current state Q3 2026: Bardeen has repositioned from general browser automation to GTM lead intelligence, and the homepage now reads "Find and reach leads no one else can." The security page states SOC 2 Type 2 compliance as of 1 April 2024, GDPR adherence, and CASA Tier 2 and Tier 3 against the App Defense Alliance standard. Product Hunt records a 2022 Golden Kitty Award in the SaaS category, and a Launch of the Day award for Bardeen 3.0 on 9 August 2024. MCP support was re-verified as absent in August 2026 across the vendor's sitemap, release notes, homepage and support knowledge base. Public release notes have not been updated since August 2024.
