ZoomMate is Zoom's agentic AI work surface, launched June 1, 2026, designed to close the gap between workplace conversations and the work they generate. Rather than simply summarizing meetings, ZoomMate autonomously searches enterprise systems, creates deliverables, and executes tasks across connected tools without requiring users to switch applications. It reflects Zoom's strategic shift from video conferencing platform to what the company calls a "system of action" where live collaboration produces completed work. ZoomMate operates across three core pillars. Agentic search goes beyond standard indexing: it queries data across Zoom content (meetings, chats, call logs) and connected enterprise systems simultaneously, surfacing relevant customer records, open tickets, account history, and project updates in real time. Orchestration coordinates task execution across meetings, apps, and systems, turning recurring processes into repeatable workflows. ZoomMate monitors conversations, identifies next steps, and initiates follow-up actions automatically: updating Salesforce opportunity records after a sales call, routing HR requests to the correct system, scheduling follow-ups across Google Calendar and Outlook, or creating Jira tickets from action items. Content creation leverages the AI Productivity Suite (Zoom Canvas, Zoom Slides, Zoom Sheets, Zoom Paper) to transform meeting transcripts and enterprise context into finished presentations, documents, spreadsheets, and project plans. Custom AI agents can be created via a short prompt and deployed in Zoom Chat for specific workflows like recruiting, client onboarding, or weekly project briefings. No coding required. Integration depth is among the broadest in the workflow agent category. ZoomMate natively connects to Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Jira, Slack, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence, and OneDrive. Critically, ZoomMate captures context from Google Meet and Microsoft Teams in addition to Zoom Meetings, making it cross-platform rather than locked to the Zoom ecosystem. The Zoom MCP Server (officially published May 18, 2026, with developer documentation at developers.zoom.us/docs/mcp/) extends Zoom conversation intelligence, agentic search, and platform capabilities into third-party AI tools. Claude, ChatGPT, and OpenAI Codex are confirmed MCP integrations. ZoomMate is not suited for teams that do not use Zoom as a primary collaboration tool. While it captures context from Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, the core agent experience lives inside Zoom Workplace. AI agents within ZoomMate expanded on June 22, 2026, enabling teams to build custom agents via prompt and deploy them in Zoom Chat. The Zoom MCP Server launched April 9, 2026 with a Claude connector and expanded capabilities announced May 18, 2026.
