ZoomMate

ZoomMate is Zoom's agentic AI work surface, built to close the gap between what gets said in a meeting and the work it generates. Rather than only summarizing, it searches connected enterprise systems, drafts deliverables and executes tasks across tools without the user switching applications. It reflects Zoom's move from a conferencing platform toward what the company calls a system of action. The product works across three pillars. Agentic search queries Zoom content such as meetings, chats and call logs alongside connected enterprise systems, surfacing customer records, open tickets and project updates. Orchestration turns recurring processes into repeatable workflows: monitoring a conversation, identifying next steps and initiating follow-ups such as updating a CRM record after a sales call, routing a request, scheduling across calendars or opening a ticket from an action item. Content creation uses the AI Productivity Suite (Canvas, Slides, Sheets, Paper) to turn transcripts and enterprise context into finished documents, decks, spreadsheets and plans. Custom agents can be built from a short prompt and deployed in Zoom Chat with no coding. Integration depth is a genuine strength. ZoomMate connects natively to Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Jira, Slack, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, SharePoint, Confluence and OneDrive. It also captures context from Google Meet and Microsoft Teams as well as Zoom Meetings, so it is not confined to the Zoom ecosystem. Zoom runs MCP in both directions, documented on its developer platform. External AI clients can reach Zoom data through Zoom's own MCP server, and Zoom AI Studio can connect outward to external MCP servers to bring internal tools and knowledge onto the platform. Zoom publishes no launch date for either capability, so none is asserted here. Pricing is published in full and in USD, with a currency selector on the pricing block. ZoomMate Basic is permanently free and included with Workplace Basic, limited to 3 hosted meeting summaries a month, 20 AI queries, agentic search across 10 files and 3 meetings, and 10 workflow runs. Paid ZoomMate is $16.67 per user per month billed annually, or $20 per user per month billed monthly. It includes 2,200 AI credits recurring monthly, unlimited AI note-taking, the custom agent builder with third-party connections, agentic search across web and connected systems, the full AI Productivity Suite and a live voice translator. What the paid tier does not buy is standalone access. ZoomMate is an add-on and requires a paid Zoom Workplace plan underneath it, so the real cost is ZoomMate plus a Workplace seat rather than the headline rate alone. Larger deployments route through a sales conversation rather than self-serve checkout, so the published rate is a floor rather than a full picture at enterprise scale. ZoomMate is not the right fit for teams that do not run on Zoom, since the core experience lives inside Zoom Workplace even though meeting context is captured from Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Teams standardized on Microsoft 365 should weigh Microsoft Scout at $99/mo, and teams in the Google ecosystem should look at Gemini Spark at $19.99/mo. For meeting transcription and summaries without workflow automation, Fathom at $15/mo billed annually and Fireflies.ai at $10/mo billed annually are lighter alternatives. Current state Q3 2026: ZoomMate reached general availability for online and direct customers in North America, with EMEA and APAC rollouts planned later in the year, so global teams cannot yet standardize on it everywhere. Custom agents built by prompt and deployed in Zoom Chat arrived alongside it, and Zoom AI On-Prem lets regulated organizations run Zoom AI inside customer-controlled infrastructure. There are no ZoomMate-specific case studies, resolution metrics or independent reviews yet: the G2 rating shown here belongs to the parent Zoom Workplace product, not to ZoomMate, and is recorded as a disclosed proxy. Zoom's compliance page lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 27701, SOC 2 with HITRUST, CSA STAR Level 2 and PCI DSS among its commercial certifications. FedRAMP Moderate is listed separately under Zoom for Government, a distinct offering, and is not a ZoomMate certification. Zoom publishes an AI Dataset Disclosure stating its models are trained on proprietarily licensed, open source licensed, commercially licensed and publicly available datasets, a list that does not include customer content.
