tl;dv (Too Long, Didn't View) is an AI meeting intelligence platform built by a German company headquartered in Aachen and serving over 2 million users and 1 million teams worldwide. The platform automatically joins Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams calls via a visible bot, transcribes in 30 plus languages with speaker recognition, generates AI summaries and action items, enables multi-meeting AI insights, and syncs meeting data to CRM and productivity tools. tl;dv positions itself as a Gong alternative for sales and customer success teams, offering AI-powered sales coaching playbooks, MEDDIC and BANT scoring, objection tracking, and scheduled AI reports at a fraction of enterprise sales intelligence pricing. The platform is fully autonomous after initial calendar connection: the bot joins scheduled meetings and produces transcripts, summaries, and action items without user intervention. Integrations on Pro tier include native connections to Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, and Notion; 5,000 plus integrations via Zapier; an official MCP server launched April 2025 and confirmed on PulseMCP; and API and webhooks for custom workflows. Named integration gaps: Webex is not natively supported (Fireflies.ai covers Webex where tl;dv does not); no native Pipedrive integration at the time of this audit; bot-free recording is not a native feature and requires Zapier configuration to pull recordings from the conferencing platform, in contrast to Fathom which now offers bot-free capture as a generally available feature; and language support at 30 plus languages is narrower than Fireflies.ai at 100 plus. API access is available on Pro and above. Pricing has four tiers confirmed via official tl;dv sources as of May 2026. Free: $0 per seat with unlimited video recordings deleted after 3 months, 10 AI summaries and 10 Ask AI queries total across the account lifetime rather than monthly, Slack and calendar integrations, and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Pro: $18 per seat per month billed annually ($29 monthly) with unlimited meetings with AI notes, custom note templates, AI action item assignment, email follow-up drafter, 5,000 plus integrations, global transcript search, custom bot appearance, unlimited uploads and storage, MCP server, API, and webhooks. Business: $35 per seat per month billed annually ($59 monthly) adding premium transcription quality, multi-language mode, custom vocabulary, unlimited multi-meeting AI insights, scheduled AI reports, AI playbook monitoring, AI objection handling, and team-wide management and automation. Enterprise: custom pricing with privately hosted AI, super admin, org-wide integrations and automations, SCIM provisioning, custom SSO, activity logs, and dedicated account manager. Annual billing saves approximately 40 percent versus monthly. TCO at Pro for a 10-person team is $2,160 per year; at Business is $4,200 per year. tl;dv is not the right fit for large enterprise revenue intelligence deployments needing full pipeline forecasting and deal inspection: Gong, at pricing typically between $5,000 and $50,000 per year, adds revenue AI, Salesforce opportunity field sync, and forecast analytics at a depth that tl;dv Business does not replicate. Teams needing more than 30 languages should evaluate Fireflies.ai at $10 per user per month (Pro annual) which supports 100 plus languages. Teams requiring HIPAA compliance for healthcare cannot use tl;dv: Fireflies.ai Enterprise at $39 per seat provides a BAA which tl;dv does not offer at any tier. Teams requiring SOC 2 Type 2 attestation must plan around tl;dv holding only Type 1 until a Type 2 audit is completed. Teams working in-person without video conferencing dependency should evaluate Granola, which runs natively on desktop for any meeting type without a bot. Current state Q2 2026: tl;dv holds SOC 2 Type 1 attestation with no public timeline announced for Type 2. The official MCP server launched April 15, 2025 and is listed on PulseMCP as official. tl;dv continues to position Business tier as a direct Gong alternative, with multi-meeting AI insights, MEDDIC and BANT scoring, and scheduled AI reports aimed explicitly at sales intelligence buyers. The platform operates from Aachen, Germany with all data centers in Europe across Google Cloud, AWS, and Hetzner, maintaining EU AI Act compliance noted on the security page. The ISO 27001 certifications referenced in tl;dv security documentation apply to data center providers, not to tl;dv as an organization. No HIPAA compliance is available at any tier as of this audit.

Pros & Limitations

Editorial assessment

Pros

  • EU-based with all data centres in Europe (Google Cloud, AWS, Hetzner), EU AI Act compliance, GDPR compliance, and optional privately hosted AI on Enterprise: the strongest European data residency story in the meeting intelligence category
  • Business tier at $35 per seat per month annually includes AI sales coaching playbooks, MEDDIC and BANT scoring, AI objection handling, and multi-meeting AI insights, competing directly with Gong at a fraction of the cost
  • Free tier includes unlimited video recordings, iOS and Android mobile apps, Slack and calendar integrations, and 5,000 plus tool integrations on Pro: generous feature access at entry pricing

Limitations

  • SOC 2 Type 1 (not Type 2) may be rejected by enterprise security procurement teams that require Type 2 attestation: verify compliance requirements before deploying at regulated-industry enterprise scale
  • Free tier recordings are automatically deleted after 3 months with no grandfathering; teams that discover the value of a specific recording after the 90-day window have no recovery path without upgrading
  • Bot-free recording has no native seamless option; achieving it requires configuring Zapier workflows to pull recordings from the conferencing platform directly, adding setup complexity compared to bot-free-native competitors like Shadow and Granola
