Profound Aim is the always-on agentic layer of Profound, the AI search optimization (AEO) platform that helps brands measure and influence how AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews describe them. Launched in July 2026, Aim sits on top of Profound's AI-search intelligence and runs continuously in the background: it monitors brand visibility, sentiment, and accuracy across AI responses, along with prompt volumes and agentic traffic, and surfaces the changes that matter to a marketing team. Profound is used by more than 700 enterprise customers, including Target, Walmart, Figma, MongoDB, U.S. Bank, and Ramp. When Aim detects a meaningful change, it explains what changed, why it matters, and the claimed business impact, then converts the highest-impact opportunities into structured marketing Projects complete with detailed briefs, specific tasks, and recommended agent workflows. It routes that work to specialized Profound Agents for research, content creation, and optimization, while keeping marketers in control of every approval. Profound positions Aim as a replacement for the static analytics dashboard: rather than surfacing data for a human to interpret and act on, Aim turns AI-search intelligence directly into prioritized, executable marketing work. Integration depth is strong for a marketing platform. Profound exposes a hosted MCP server that lets external AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Cline query its Agent Analytics and visibility data directly, and it connects to Akamai, AWS, Cloudflare, Fastly, Google Analytics, Google Cloud, Netlify, Vercel, and WordPress, plus an API on the Enterprise tier. It tracks up to ten answer engines including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Meta AI, Grok, DeepSeek, and Claude. It does not replace a general marketing suite: there are no native CRM, email, or project-management integrations beyond the routed Profound Agents workflow. Pricing is tiered but not publicly numeric. Profound offers Starter and Growth plans (billed yearly, with a free trial on Growth) and a custom-priced Enterprise plan, but no dollar figures are published; prospects start a trial or book a demo. The agentic capabilities concentrate in the paid tiers: Growth includes a set number of agent credits and weekly Opportunities, while Enterprise adds more answer engines, custom prompt tracking, SSO with SAML, an API, and SOC 2 Type II compliance. Because Aim orchestrates the credit-based Profound Agents, heavier execution volume raises cost, and pricing is best confirmed directly with Profound. Profound Aim is built for marketing teams that treat AI search visibility as a channel worth managing, not for teams that only need traditional SEO or social tooling. Small teams that just want to monitor their AI visibility can use Profound's lower tiers without the full agentic layer, while the Aim orchestration and Profound Agents execution are aimed at organizations running active AEO campaigns. Teams wanting predictable flat pricing or a general-purpose marketing agent may find the quote-based model and AEO-specific focus a poor fit. Current state Q3 2026: Aim launched July 2, 2026 as Profound's always-on marketing agent. Profound raised a $96 million Series C at a $1 billion valuation in February 2026 (led by Lightspeed, with Sequoia and Kleiner Perkins), bringing total funding to $155 million, and holds a 4.5 out of 5 rating across more than 1,100 G2 reviews. The platform exposes an MCP server, is SOC 2 Type II compliant, and continues to expand its answer-engine coverage and agent capabilities.

Pros & Limitations

Editorial assessment

Pros

  • Turns AI-search intelligence into executable work: Aim continuously monitors visibility, sentiment, and accuracy across AI answer engines, then converts the highest-impact changes into structured marketing Projects with briefs and tasks rather than leaving marketers to interpret a dashboard.
  • Hosted MCP server and broad platform integrations: external AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Cline can query Profound's visibility data directly, and the platform connects to major CDNs, analytics, and hosting providers across ten answer engines.
  • Backed by a category-leading vendor: Profound is a $1 billion-valued company with more than 700 enterprise customers and a 4.5 out of 5 rating across more than 1,100 G2 reviews, giving Aim unusually strong validation for a newly launched agent.

Limitations

  • No public pricing: Profound publishes named tiers but no dollar figures, and the agentic features sit in the paid Growth and Enterprise plans, so teams must start a trial or book a demo to understand cost.
  • Credit-based execution scales with volume: because Aim routes work to credit-metered Profound Agents, heavy content and optimization workloads consume credits quickly, making spend harder to forecast than flat per-seat pricing.
  • Narrow to AEO: Aim is purpose-built for AI search optimization and does not replace a general marketing suite, with no native CRM, email, or project-management integrations beyond its own agent workflow.
