Replit Agent is the AI coding agent embedded inside Replit's browser-based development environment, generating, editing, and deploying full applications from natural-language prompts without the developer leaving the platform. Unlike Bolt.new, Lovable, and v0, which export code to GitHub for separate hosting, Replit Agent handles the complete lifecycle: scaffolding, dependency management, database provisioning with dev/prod separation, environment variable management, security scanning, and deployment to Replit's hosted infrastructure. Replit Agent is not the right fit for developers who need to deploy to infrastructure they control. Generated applications run on Replit's hosted infrastructure, and migrating to AWS, GCP, Vercel, or self-hosted environments requires manual rework of Replit-specific configurations.
