HackerEarth OnScreen is an autonomous AI interview agent for technical hiring teams that need to remove scheduling friction and interviewer variability at scale. It is part of the HackerEarth platform, run by HackerEarth Inc. with offices in Sunnyvale and Bengaluru. OnScreen uses AI video avatars to conduct two-way technical conversations with no human interviewer present, adapting its follow-up questions to candidate responses and scoring reasoning depth rather than keyword recall. HackerEarth customers named on its own site include Amazon, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Siemens, GlobalLogic and Trimble. The vendor states one enterprise customer interviewed more than 2,000 candidates in a single weekend with comparable evaluation across every session. OnScreen applies a deterministic evaluation framework, probing the same skills against the same rubric for every candidate. Integrity infrastructure is built into each session and includes KYC-grade identity verification, behavioral monitoring with integrity signals surfaced in the interview report, AI-likeness detection that flags AI-generated answers, and deepfake and spoofing detection for live video. OnScreen sits inside the wider HackerEarth platform alongside Technical Assessments, FaceCode for pair-programming interviews, and Hiring Challenges, so a team can run screening through structured interview without switching tools. HackerEarth documents per-vendor ATS integration guides for iCIMS, Zoho Recruit, SmartRecruiters, Greenhouse, Lever, Jobvite, Ashby, JazzHR, SAP SuccessFactors and Workable. There is no MCP server, re-verified July 2026 across the product page, the trust center, the help center and the site root. Pricing for OnScreen is quote-only. There is no published rate on any HackerEarth surface, no self-serve tier and no free trial for the interview agent, and the only route is a demo request. Because no rate is published anywhere, currency is moot. HackerEarth Skill Assessments is separately and publicly priced, but that pricing does not cover OnScreen. What a buyer cannot establish before contacting sales is the cost, the pricing basis, or the minimum volume commitment, and deployments require dedicated onboarding with HackerEarth before interviews go live. OnScreen is not the right fit for SMBs or teams without enterprise procurement capacity, and it is built around technical hiring rather than general HR screening, so teams hiring for non-technical roles will find the question framework limited. It is also not a standalone tool, since it operates within the HackerEarth platform rather than independently of it. Teams that want published pricing before engaging a vendor should look elsewhere in the category. Q3 2026 state: OnScreen launched on Product Hunt on April 16, 2026 as an always-on zero-bias AI hiring tool. HackerEarth's trust center publishes a certification status table. It shows ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27701, ISO 27018 and ISO 42001:2023 as certified, and GDPR and CPRA as compliant. SOC 2 Type II is recorded as in progress, with a draft letter available under NDA. Note that the site footer lists SOC 2 Type II alongside the certified items, which the trust center status table does not support. The vendor states candidate and employee data is never used to train models, and that hiring decisions stay with the customer with no autonomous decisions.

Pros & Limitations

Editorial assessment

Pros

  • Round-the-clock availability with AI video avatars removes timezone and scheduling constraints, since a complete structured technical interview runs without a human interviewer being present, scheduled or briefed.
  • KYC-grade identity verification, behavioral monitoring, AI-likeness detection and deepfake detection are built into every session, so interview integrity is enforced during the interview rather than reviewed afterwards.
  • Documented per-vendor ATS integration guides for ten applicant tracking systems including iCIMS, Greenhouse, Lever, SmartRecruiters, Ashby, Jobvite and SAP SuccessFactors, so candidate handoff fits an existing pipeline.

Limitations

  • Quote-only pricing with no published rate, no self-serve tier and no free trial for the interview agent, which rules it out for buyers whose procurement requires upfront pricing comparison.
  • Independent evidence for OnScreen itself is thin, since the G2 rating and review count on this listing belong to HackerEarth Assessments, the parent platform, rather than to OnScreen, which launched in April 2026 and has no review corpus of its own.
  • HackerEarth advertises SOC 2 Type II in its site footer, but its own trust center status table records that attestation as in progress rather than complete, with only a draft letter available under NDA.

Autonomous rateOnScreen conducts the interview itself autonomously: the AI video avatar runs the full session from introduction through adaptive technical questioning and structured scoring with no human interviewer present. Scoring is evidence-based and traces to a rubric. HackerEarth states hiring decisions stay with the customer and that the platform makes no autonomous hiring decisions, so a human reviews the assessment report before any outcome.
