The facts

Brand24 is an AI-powered social listening and brand monitoring platform that tracks mentions across social media, news, blogs, podcasts, video, reviews and forums in real time. It operates as Brand24 Global Inc. of Daytona Beach, Florida, with Brand24 S.A. as its European entity, and is publicly traded on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The platform is built for SMB and mid-market brands, marketing teams, PR professionals and agencies that need broad mention discovery with AI analysis, and it separates itself from scheduling-first tools that treat listening as a secondary feature. Monitored sources include Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, news sites, blogs, Quora, Medium, Twitch, newsletters and podcasts. Brand24 publishes a first-party MCP server at mcp.brand24.com with bearer-token authentication. The endpoint answers in the Model Context Protocol itself, returning a JSON-RPC error when called without credentials, which makes it one of the more clearly verifiable MCP servers in this category. It lets AI assistants query live Brand24 mention data through natural language rather than exports or dashboard switching. Beyond that, integration is deliberately narrow: Slack and Microsoft Teams for alert delivery, webhooks for custom workflows, and Excel, PDF, CSV and PowerPoint export formats. The API is a paid add-on at $99 per month on top of any tier. There is no native CRM integration for routing mentions into sales workflows, no publishing or scheduling, and no email marketing connection. Brand24 is built for monitoring and analysis, not engagement. Pricing is tiered by keyword count, mention volume and update frequency across five plans, in USD, with monthly and annual billing. Individual is $199 per month billed annually against $249 month to month, covering 3 keywords, 2,000 mentions per month, 1 user, 12-hour updates and AI Sentiment Analysis. Team is $299 against $349, adding 7 keywords, 10,000 mentions, unlimited users and hourly updates. Pro is $399 against $499, adding 12 keywords, 40,000 mentions, real-time updates, Lightning Search, AI Events Detection, AI Brand Assistant and AI Insights and AI Topics for 2 projects. Business is $599 against $699, adding 25 keywords, 100,000 mentions, unlimited AI Topics, AI Insights for 5 projects and Advanced Reports. Enterprise starts from $1,499 per month, is billed annually only, and carries custom keyword and mention limits. The annual saving is not uniform, running about 20% on Individual and Pro but roughly 14% on Team and Business, so the headline offer is a ceiling rather than a rate. All plans include a 14-day free trial and there is no permanently free plan. What the entry price does not buy is volume headroom: exceeding a tier's mention limit means moving up a plan rather than paying usage overage. Brand24 is not the right fit for teams that need publishing, engagement, scheduling and listening in a single platform. Sprout Social and Hootsuite both combine scheduling, engagement, analytics and listening for teams whose workflows extend beyond monitoring. For enterprise social intelligence with deep competitor benchmarking and share-of-voice tracking across a brand portfolio, Brandwatch and Talkwalker serve enterprise PR and insight teams at considerably higher price points. For teams tracking owned channel performance rather than external mentions, native analytics from Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics and Google Search Console cover the self-reported layer at no subscription cost. Current state Q3 2026: the MCP server lets live brand mention data surface inside MCP-compatible AI assistants without manual exports. AI features at Pro and above include AI Events Detection for explaining coverage spikes, AI Brand Assistant for insights and recommendations, AI Insights for growth suggestions and AI Topics for trending discussions. The AI Visibility feature tracks how major AI platforms mention brands in their responses and is available as an add-on at every tier. On assurance, buyers running a security review should note what is absent: Brand24 publishes no security or trust page, no certification badges anywhere on its site, and no SOC 2, ISO 27001, CCPA or HIPAA claim. Its only GDPR reference is a data-processing clause in the terms of service scoped to clients established in the European Union. The company does publish EU Data Act compliance guidelines on its legal page.

Pros & Limitations

Editorial assessment

Pros

  • Listening-first specialization produces broader mention coverage than scheduling-first tools, spanning web, social, news, podcasts, video, reviews and forums simultaneously rather than treating monitoring as a secondary feature.
  • A first-party MCP server at mcp.brand24.com lets AI assistants query live brand mention data through natural language without exports or dashboard switching, and it verifies at the protocol level rather than resting on a marketing claim.
  • AI Sentiment Analysis is included from the entry tier, and AI Events Detection, AI Brand Assistant, AI Insights and AI Topics all arrive at Pro rather than being reserved for the top plan, which is less aggressive gating than enterprise listening platforms typically apply.

Limitations

  • Mention volume limits create upgrade pressure rather than overage billing. Individual's 2,000 mentions per month is quickly exhausted by any brand with a meaningful social presence, and exceeding a tier means moving up a plan.
  • No security or trust page exists and no certification badges appear anywhere on the site. There is no SOC 2, ISO 27001, CCPA or HIPAA claim, and the only GDPR reference is a data-processing clause in the terms scoped to EU-established clients. Regulated buyers should request evidence directly.
  • No publishing or engagement features and no native CRM connection. Teams needing integrated scheduling, engagement management or mention routing into sales workflows must run a separate tool alongside Brand24.
