Limitations

• ⚠Pricing takes modeling: credits come as $200 monthly capacity packs, pay-as-you-go at $0.01 each, one-year prepaid commit units, or inside Microsoft 365 Copilot and E7, and each action's credit cost varies with agent type, knowledge sources, and task complexity.
• ⚠External and autonomous agents need a standalone purchase: the zero-rated Microsoft 365 Copilot path covers internal agents only. Publishing to websites, apps, or social channels, serving unlicensed users, or using the GitHub Copilot harness means buying capacity packs, pay-as-you-go, or prepaid credits.
• ⚠The GitHub Copilot harness bills from the first build step: unlike the standard harness, which starts charging after publish, it consumes Copilot Credits while an agent is created, previewed, tested, and evaluated. Capacity is enforced monthly, unused credits do not roll over, and overuse can lead to service denial.
• ⚠Agents built on older platform-managed service principals, before automatic Entra Agent ID assignment began in March 2026, cannot be migrated in place: bringing them under Agent ID governance requires recreating each agent.

• ⚠Teams and RBAC, routing and team analytics start at the Team tier, and a formal BAA confirming HIPAA compliance, custom data retention and residency, and the voice channel are Enterprise-only on a custom contract.
• ⚠New deployments run only on Botpress Cloud because the vendor has sunset v12 and every self-hosted version. Emulator conversations also count against the paid conversation quota during testing.
