Pros & Limitations
Editorial assessmentAdapt
Pros
- ✓Works where teams already are: Slack (including a Slack app under the customer's own name and icon), the web app, a Chrome extension that can take browser actions, email, and iMessage or RCS texting.
- ✓A hosted MCP server (beta) with OAuth sign-in lets Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients run an Adapt agent with full company context, and models can run on the customer's own keys at no markup.
- ✓SOC 2 Type II certified, with a stated commitment that customer data is never used to train AI models, provider agreements that prohibit training on customer data, and natural-language policies that can require approval before named actions.
Limitations
- –Microsoft Teams is not listed among Adapt's surfaces or integrations, so organizations that do not use Slack rely on the web app, browser extension, email or text messaging.
- –Adapt Cloud is billed purely on metered sandbox compute, storage, memory and gateway model usage, which is harder to forecast than a flat subscription, and it needs a payment method or prepaid balance, though spend limits can be set per team and agent.
- –The open-source edition is waitlist-only until its January 4, 2027 launch rather than a public repository today, and independent reviews are limited to a small number on G2.
Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda)
Pros
- ✓Only Doc Makers are billed, so Editors and Viewers who work in existing docs are free on every plan, including Enterprise.
- ✓800+ integrations with two-way sync for tools such as Jira, Salesforce and Asana, plus a Docs MCP server listed in Anthropic's Connectors Directory and the OpenAI App Directory.
- ✓Holds ISO 27001, ISO 27017 and ISO 27018 certificates and publishes a SOC 3 report, with SOC 2 Type 2 reports and a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement on Enterprise.
Limitations
- –Docs AI is in Beta, and its unlimited use on paid plans runs under a fair-use policy, while the Free plan gets a limited number of Docs AI trials and read-only MCP access capped at 30 requests a week.
- –SAML SSO, SCIM, audit logs and HIPAA are Enterprise-only, and connector data refreshes daily on Pro against hourly on Business and Enterprise.
- –Under the HIPAA agreement, Docs AI web search, vision and prompt caching are unavailable, and third-party Packs and connectors fall outside the agreement.
