Paradox is an enterprise conversational AI recruiting platform built around Olivia, an assistant aimed squarely at frontline and high-volume hiring. Workday completed its acquisition on 1 October 2025, and the offering is now sold as the Workday Paradox Candidate Experience Agent, available for purchase to both existing and new customers. The brand continues to operate under its own name with Adam Godson as CEO, and the product can be bought through Workday or from Paradox directly. Olivia screens candidates against job requirements, auto-schedules interviews, answers candidate questions, sends reminders, conducts video interviews, generates offer letters and guides new hires through onboarding including I-9 verification, running 24/7 in 100+ languages over SMS and chat. The assistant is often white-labeled per customer rather than shipped under the Olivia name, as at General Motors where it is branded Ev-E. Integration is organized by category rather than by a public connector count, spanning ATS, HCM, CRM, job boards, assessments, WOTC, Form I-9 and employment eligibility verification, background checks, agency and programmatic advertising, video, messaging, and email and calendar sync. Three branded integration products are published: Paradox for Workday, now a native Workday integration, Paradox for SAP SuccessFactors, and Paradox for Indeed. The platform is API-first with open API documentation. Paradox publishes no MCP server, re-verified July 2026 across its site, its Workday partner page, its security page and a public search. Pricing is quote-only and there is no pricing page at all: the /pricing path redirects to the homepage. Every route to a number runs through sales and an implementation team, and there is no self-serve trial. Contracts are annual. Smaller deployments can start with scheduling-only modules, but even an entry deployment requires implementation support, so cost visibility before a sales cycle is not available. Paradox is not the right fit for organizations that need deep hiring-funnel analytics, structured competency-based interview scoring, or self-serve access. It is scoped and priced for enterprise hiring volume, and companies filling knowledge-worker roles at low volume will see much less return than the high-volume frontline deployments the platform is built for. Teams that need detailed funnel analytics should look at Greenhouse or Lever alongside it. Documented outcomes are attributed to named customers on the vendor's own case studies. Compass Group hires 120,000 workers a year with a recruiting team of 20. Chipotle reports reducing time to hire by 75%. General Motors reports $2M saved annually, time to schedule down from over five days to 29 minutes, a 99.6% decrease in time-to-schedule, and more than 74,000 candidate interviews scheduled automatically. 7-Eleven reports saving store leaders 40,000 hours per week by automating recruiting tasks. The case study library runs to 34 named customers across retail, restaurants, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, financial services and telecoms. As of Q3 2026, security posture on the Paradox security page covers ISO 27001, third-party certified for information security management systems, and SOC 2 Type II, certified by independent audit for design and operating effectiveness against the Trust Services Criteria. Paradox is also an active participant in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which is a transfer mechanism rather than a certification. Following the acquisition the Paradox privacy policy now redirects to Workday's corporate privacy statement, and neither that statement nor the Paradox security page addresses whether candidate data is used to train AI models.

Pros & Limitations

Editorial assessment

Pros

  • 24/7 candidate engagement in 100+ languages over SMS and chat, which removes the after-hours drop-off that costs high-volume frontline employers applicants and covers language diversity human recruiter coverage cannot reach at scale.
  • Outcomes are published against named customers rather than as aggregates: Compass Group hiring 120,000 workers a year with a team of 20, General Motors at $2M saved annually and time-to-schedule down from over five days to 29 minutes, and 7-Eleven saving store leaders 40,000 hours a week.
  • Now sold as the Workday Paradox Candidate Experience Agent with a native Workday integration, alongside published branded integrations for SAP SuccessFactors and Indeed, so it slots into an existing system of record rather than replacing it.

Limitations

  • Quote-only with no pricing page at all, since the pricing path redirects to the homepage, and no self-serve trial, so any evaluation requires a sales cycle and implementation team engagement.
  • Built for high-volume frontline hiring, so organizations filling professional or knowledge-worker roles at low volume will see materially less return, and the platform is not aimed at detailed hiring-funnel analytics or competency-based interview scoring.
  • Neither the Paradox security page nor the Workday privacy statement the privacy policy now redirects to says whether candidate conversations are used to train AI models.
