Hex

Hex is a collaborative notebook for data teams, with an agent built into the document rather than bolted beside it. The Notebook Agent writes and runs analysis in the same notebook a team already shares, and Hex positions the whole product as agentic AI analytics for data teams. Alongside the notebook it ships Threads for conversational analysis, Context Studio for the semantic layer the agent reads, published data apps, a CLI and embedded analytics.

Pricing reality: Hex publishes its ladder in full, with no login and no billing toggle. Community is free and includes a Hex agent trial, one data source connection and small compute. Professional is $36 per editor per month and adds the Hex agent proper, standard credits, up to five published apps and 30-day version history. Team is $75 per editor per month and adds extended credits, unlimited published apps, scheduled runs and alerts, and shared components. Enterprise carries no published rate. Currency is recorded as US dollars on the weakest evidence of any field on this row: Hex publishes no currency marker anywhere on the pricing page and its own footer link to its terms and conditions returns a missing page, so nothing first-party states it.

Teams weighing options here also look at ThoughtSpot, which puts natural-language search in front of business users rather than analysts. There is also Sigma, which works in a spreadsheet interface over the warehouse, and Bruin, which is aimed at the pipeline that fills the warehouse in the first place.
