Qodo is the AI code review platform for enterprise software teams (formerly known as CodiumAI), purpose-built to catch bugs, security issues, and code quality problems before they ship to production. Rebranded from CodiumAI in 2024, Qodo has positioned itself as the dedicated AI code review tool in a category dominated by general-purpose AI coding assistants that do not specialize in the review workflow. The qodo-ai GitHub organization hosts 12 repositories with qodo-cover (test generation) at 5,400+ stars as the primary open-source project. Pricing uses a credit-based model. Pro Team is the single paid tier at $0.012 per credit pooled across the team with no annual commitment required: 2,500 credits (~18 reviews/month) for approximately $30/month, 5,000 credits (~36 reviews/month) for approximately $60/month, or 20,000 credits (~143 reviews/month) for approximately $240/month. Qodo's product suite now includes multiple tools beyond core PR review. Qodo Merge provides automated PR analysis, suggested improvements, and bug detection integrated into GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket PR workflows. Qodo Gen handles test generation. Qodo Cover (5,400+ GitHub stars) provides test coverage analysis. Qodo Command is a CLI for terminal automation, advanced AI workflows, and CI/CD integration. Aware (open-aware, 495 GitHub stars) is a newer deep code research agent described as an "Agentic Principal Engineer" for complex codebase understanding. Qodo CI increases code coverage as part of CI/CD pipelines. Integration depth covers the PR review workflow comprehensively. The platform integrates natively with VS Code, JetBrains, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines. MCP is supported. The PR review process includes change summary generation, code suggestions, test recommendations, security analysis, and AI slop detection (catching low-quality AI-generated code before it ships). Missing from the integration surface are project management tools like Jira or Linear and collaboration platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams. Qodo is not the right fit for teams wanting a single tool for AI completion, chat, and review. It is best adopted alongside a primary coding assistant, not as a replacement. Credit-based pricing means costs scale with review volume, and teams doing 100+ reviews per month need the 20,000 credit pack at approximately $240/month. Alternatives for teams wanting all-in-one coverage: Cursor at $20/user/month or GitHub Copilot at $19/user/month. Current state Q2 2026: Qodo is headquartered in Tel Aviv (Codium Ltd.) and operates under SOC 2 Type II compliance with 2-way encryption, secrets obfuscation, and TLS/SSL across all tiers. The original open-source PR Agent repo (formerly Codium-ai/pr-agent, 11,500+ stars) has been forked to a separate organization (The-PR-Agent) and explicitly states it is not the Qodo free tier. Qodo's own GitHub organization (qodo-ai) maintains qodo-cover, Aware, Command, and CI as the current open-source portfolio.
