Lexis+ with Protégé is the flagship legal AI platform from LexisNexis, rebranded from Lexis+ AI in February 2026. Protégé is the agentic AI assistant powering conversational research, document drafting, and analysis grounded in LexisNexis's legal content collection, which the vendor states holds more than 200 billion documents and analysis from over 5,500 authors, with Shepard's Citations validation. The May 2026 expansion introduced Protégé Work (a skills and orchestration layer that creates structured plans for multi-step legal tasks), Protégé Agentic Drafting (purpose-built drafting agents for contracts, motions, briefs, and deal documents), and Protégé Workrooms (secure collaboration spaces shared among firms, clients, and counterparties). The platform includes 300+ pre-built workflows covering motions, discovery, transactional documents, and contract redlining, plus a no-code Custom Workflow Builder for firm-specific playbooks.
